You have to pay for “Prodigious sowing” before your Draw phase. This also means before your Mana gathering phase.
If you do not have the necessary Mana to pay for it at the beginning of the turn, you must discard "Prodigious sowing".
If a seed leaves play, it is no longer considered a Tree.
If you have fewer than 3 Seeds in play and a new Seed is put into play, it becomes a Tree.
