Plan de jeu
Hello Mages,
This is a fun little deck with no pretensions other than teaching beginners how to play a “puzzle” deck (like Exodia in YuGiOh).
The idea is simple: kill with Subtle Infiltration. How? Here is the sequence of events to perform:
– Have 2 Ice components,
– Prepare then channel Split Second,
– Prepare then activate Delayed Fate.
– Prepare Subtle Infiltration, thus benefiting from the Split Second effect without being Mage Noir (= -1),
– Prepare Pulsar Ritual thus becoming Mage Noir,
– Prepare Glacial Age, also benefiting from Split Second by being Mage Noir (= +1).
Once these steps have been completed in this specific order, Subtle Infiltration will ask you to exchange (1-1 = 0) mana for (1-1 = 0) mana in order to inflict (1-1+2 = 2) damage. Do this infinitely to win the game.
Almost everything can be done in the same turn, so the deck seeks to gather the cards necessary for its game plan and protect its exit.
Among the replacements:
– Pulsar Ritual can be exchanged with Ritual of Mélange for a likely similar result except less defensive flexibility.
– Other Ice components can be considered, such as Ice Breath to replace Ice Wall,
– Calcination can be replaced by Divine Hammer Strike or Powerful Sweep, as Pulverize is too specific in this particular case,
– Brilliant Inspiration can be replaced by Acceleration to allow the Fox to continue its deep search,
– Fox can be replaced with Crow, though that’ll also change the dynamic of the early game and mana management.
Have fun, Mages
