Do note that the symbol for exhausting your Animal does not count as part of the Mana cost. (Even if it is located in the same place)
Total Mana cost is the sum of all the Mana costs of a spell. For instance: a spell costing 2 fire Mana, 1 Arcane Mana and 1 Air Mana would have a total Mana cost of 4.
