What is the principle behind this deck, and why play it?

• Use the numerous Permanents to overwhelm your opponent. Finish with Verdant Crown on an unexpected Forest or with the Deer’s ability.
• Learn how to use Permanents and get the timing right to prepare them.

Why the Deer?

• Its signature spell is extremely powerful.
• If the opponent manages the Permanents, it can still finish the game on its own.

What cards could be suggested?

• Defense: Dazzle, Dead Tree, Stunning Thunder.
• Damage: Tree in Flames once Mage Noir, Manchineel Tree to immediately be hostile in the game, but this is a double-edged sword. A Foloï Yarrow-type Flower is also possible.
• Draw: Acceleration, Flash of Inspiration, Radiant Light.
• Utility: Renewal will easily find a place in this list, the Forest Healer to put a Permanent out of harm’s way, the Water Healer to recover a card from the discard pile. Animal Recall to reuse Verdant Crown, Stellar Fractal to recover a key card that has just been destroyed.
